Child Development/Parenting

This course is intended to provide students with detailed knowledge of how children grow and develop, how to care for them, and to give students practical experience in observing and working with preschool children, and planning activities for them. Course content includes pregnancy and birth processes; responsibilities and difficulties of parenthood; healthy family structure; fundamentals of children’s physical, emotional and social development.
