Course Description

With an emphasis on narrative form, the course covers basic technical and aesthetic foundation in filmmaking. Students learn to develop craft as well as personal voice through projects that involve writing treatments and screenplays; developing storyboards; producing; lighting; directing; working with actors and crew; sound design; and editing. For the final project, each group produces a short film for entry into the Annual Statewide Film Festival.
