Course Description

This course challenges students to become experts in the art and science of growing plants, shrubs, trees, flowers, fruits, and vegetables. In doing so, they cover a wide variety of topics, including principles of plant science, greenhouse and nursery operations, soils and growing media mixtures, fruit and vegetable production, interior and exterior plantscaping, irrigation systems, weed and pest control, and floral design. This course is available to all high school students and is located at the PATHWAYS building.
