Course Description

This course covers independent creative problem-solving skills, explores more advanced art-making techniques while using professional-grade materials, and the development of an overarching theme or concept. This is a supportive, creative environment where artistic risk-taking is encouraged. Materials may include clay, colored pencil, watercolor, ink, acrylic, chalk, oil pastel, charcoal, found objects, and mixed media. These concepts will be mastered by creating and producing original art and preparing students for the IB Visual Art exam. This course does not require students to be full IB students or for students to test if they do not wish to receive IB Credit.
