The Spanish Conversation and Culture Course provides students with an introduction to the language and the culture(s) of Spanish-speaking people. This course is recommended for students who want to explore introductory Spanish culture from music, sports, food, holidays, superstitions, fairy tales, geography, and festivals. This course is different from other Spanish and History courses as there is less focus on grammar and vocabulary and more focus on the cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world. This course also integrates the Social Studies Standards for World History, providing additional exposure to cross-curricular content. The course may be used as a precursor to a Spanish level I and is open to all grade levels and can be taken in isolation or in addition to any other Spanish course.
